Consolidated Read and Skipped articles into one section.

Added new Archive view for read articles. You can now view your entire reading history.

Fixed a minor bug: when you mark an older item as unread, it will be inserted at the top of the Unread list, not somewhere in the middle.

Improved Text mode’s character-encoding support beyond just UTF-8. It’s not perfect yet. This is a high priority.

Made the Skip/Mark Unread/Delete/Text buttons prettier.

Unread links now display the complete URL as a tooltip.

New Text article view: mobile-optimized, compact, text-only view for any article.

Faster load times by making styles and Javascript external.

New AJAX updating on Skip, Mark Unread, and Delete.

Buttons and Log In fields are now larger on the iPhone.

Attempts to log into a password-less account will now work even if you enter a password. (Many people would forget that they didn’t have a password on Instapaper, then get stumped when their “usual” password didn’t work.)

Fixed inconsistent sorting on Recently Skipped section.

The Read Later image is now better-rounded. Thanks, Jacob Bijani.

The Read Later bookmarklet must be reinstalled to accommodate a security fix. Until you reinstall it, you will be prompted to click an extra “Save” button in the bookmarklet window. I know this is a hassle, but it was the most graceful solution possible to work around a security hole that, fortunately, had not yet been exploited.

Once you install the new Read Later bookmarklet, it will behave without any additional clicks like before — and actually faster now, since it’s no longer doing a background redirect.
